Season-Long Submersed Weed Control- Absorbed by leaves, roots and stems directly from the water.
- Works by inhibiting the weeds ability to produce carotene. Without this ability, chlorophyll is rapidly degraded by sunlight and the weeds die.
- 7 to 10 days after the initial application you will see bleaching at the growing tips of the weed.
- Results occur slowly - treat early in the season for an entire weed free summer.
- WhiteCap provides the most efficient concentration level and is the ideal choice in water bodies with minimal water flow and when targeting strands of emersed vegetation.

- When treating with Whitecap you always must consider the dilution factor. Dilution comes from pond inlets such as rivers, streams and/or parking lots. In most cases if a pond receive water from outside source it must discharge this extra capacity through an outlet. This outlet will not only take the extra water out of the pond but it will take the Fluridone (the active ingredient in both Sonar and Whitecap). To have a successful Fluridone treatment you need the product to stay in the water for at least 30 days.
Restrictions: 30 day irrigation restriction. No other water use restrictions - safe for swimming, fishing and/or other recreational uses.
How to apply: Mix in a tank sprayer. Do not apply WhitecapTM directly to plant foliage; it is important to spray the product directly in the water, avoiding contact with plants and/or algae. Pond dye should be applied immediately after treatment to help enhance treatment and determine the amount of dilution dilution your pond has received. Results may take up to 45 days.
