STEP 1: Prep the Surface. Clean the pond surface with HERCO No. TC-700 Cleaner/Thinner. Apply to surface with clean rag or towel. Cleaner will dissipate completely in the air.
STEP 2: Prime the Surface. Apply one coat of HERCO No. P-SC Primer on entire surface. Apply with brush or roller and let dry completely.
STEP 3: Apply 3 coats of HERCO No. H-55 Neoprene Coating. Once the Primer treated surface is completely dry, apply the first coat of HERCO No. H-55 Neoprene Coating. Apply with brush or roller. Part of the first coat may be absorbed into the porous surface of the concrete. This is to be expected. Allow 45 minutes to 1 hour to dry. Add the second and third coats of HERCO No. H-55 Neoprene Coating and allow each coat to dry completely before proceeding. Thin neoprene coating with one pint of HERCO No. TC-700 Thinner for easier application of product. 1 pint per gallon.
STEP 4: Finishing the Job. Once the final coat of HERCO No. H-55 Neoprene Coating has dried completely, allow the rubber to cure for at least 24 hours before adding water to the pond. After 72 hours, you may add your fish to the pond. |
